All of our garments have a "tailored" cut; slightly tapered to fit body shape and keep a well fitting look throughout. The amount of contour is more gradual for looser fitting items. For our Women's style, this means more room in the bust & hips and a slightly tapered waist. For our Men's style, this means more room in the shoulders and a slightly tapered waist/hips area.

Many years ago I bought a merino wool full zip sweater from the major yuppy outdoor clothing company. I wore it until it couldn't be worn anymore. When I replaced it, unfortunately, it was made in China. I still wore it until it no longer could be repaired. When I went to replace that one I could not find a full zip version until I ran across Wintergreen Northern Wear. Theirs is perfect. Incredibly well made . It can be worn as causal wear, a thermal under garment, or light jacket. Merino wool just has the unique property of being comfortable in a large range of temperatures. The zipper pockets are unnoticeable but very handy. I wear an XL in most every shirt and the XL fits just right through the shoulders and chest. My only minor complaint is it is a tiny bit tight in the stomach but I understand it needs to be to keep out drafts. Excellent customer experience. Thanks Wintergreen for making the perfect garment in America.
