Materials
- Outer Shell made from 12.5 oz. Halley Stevensons® waxed cotton from Scotland. Imported fabric.
- Lining made from lightweight New Wool Tartan Plaid from Scotland. Imported fabric.

Care for your garment:
- Brush off dirt, spot clean with sponge
- Do not use soaps or detergents
- Always re-wax with Halley Stevensons® wax
- Do not machine wash, dry clean, iron, or tumble dry
- Spot clean lining with cold water
Retreating your Wax Cotton Garment:
- Warm the HS wax tin in hot water to soften
- Work wax into the garment using clean cloth
- Avoid over-waxing - use absorbent paper towels
between cotton and lining to collect excess wax - Pay attention to seams, creases and dry patches
- Using a hairdryer, warm the fabric & massage
- Hang the garment overnight in a warm place

All of our garments have a "tailored" cut; slightly tapered to fit body shape and keep a well fitting look throughout. The amount of contour is more gradual for looser fitting items. For our Women's style, this means more room in the bust & hips and a slightly tapered waist. For our Men's style, this means more room in the shoulders and a slightly tapered waist/hips area.

Overall, I'm very pleased with the quality of materials, quality of construction, and the personalized touch of knowing who sewed the jacket. It's a relatively slim cut but works well over a jacket or vest when it's cold out. I suspect that this will be a lifetime purchase. Job well done!

Due to the warm weather, I haven't been able to full submerge myself in all this jacket has to offer. I did walk about 6 miles in a heavy rain expecting to feel the leak through and got home bone dry. I was shocked. Fit and finish are unparalleled. Well done Wintergreen!

Very happy with the high quality materials and expert sewing that went into the making of this jacket. I’m 5’11” and about 180 pounds and went with the Medium. For someone my size, I wouldn’t recommend going any bigger. It’s roomy and the arms and overall jacket are comfortably long. It is obviously designed to accommodate layering, as I can easily wear a T-shirt, long sleeve shirt and medium fleece jacket under it without it feeling snug at all. I have my eye on the wool pullover with hood as a go-to liner for colder weather. It looks like it should match perfectly.

I've scouted second hand stores for over 25 years. Buying vintage USA, massproduced asian ect garments. As well as buying new items. I've been blessed and have always had a selection to fit each season. I've literally owned hundreds of coats. It was literally a part time hobby looking. I could have made big money on E bay selling well made and vintage items. I chose however last year to donate most of my collection to the Brainerd, MN homeless shelter. Directly into the hands of those in need. Sharing my God provided ubundence. The reason I say all of this is I have a good idea on what a good coat is. This Wintergreen Wax Cotton coat is easily one of the best constructed coats I've ever owned. This coat given it has a hood shall be an easy go to garment.
