All of our garments have a "tailored" cut; slightly tapered to fit body shape and keep a well fitting look throughout. The amount of contour is more gradual for looser fitting items. For our Women's style, this means more room in the bust & hips and a slightly tapered waist. For our Men's style, this means more room in the shoulders and a slightly tapered waist/hips area.

Nylon body & fleece lining with Cordura knees & seat
Durable 3-ply Supplex® nylon with DWR provides a lightweight, breathable outer layer to protect against wind and snow while the Polartec® Microfleece® lining provides built-in warmth. Cordura® reinforcement on knees and seat for added durability when crouching and sitting on snowy or rocky surfaces.
Zippered fly with Wintergreen snap closure
The zippered fly makes these pants easy to take on & off. Double snap closure adds built-in security.
Two cargo pockets with snap closure
Handy storage for on the trail! These roomy pockets close with snaps to secure your goods inside.
Partial zip legs with interior & exterior wind flaps
Knee length zippers on the outside of each leg allow for boot tying and adjustments. Interior and exterior wind flaps keep the elements out.

How it's Made
A winner
I have one of almost all of the Wintergreen pant versions made since the late 90's, and this most recent rendition is terrific. I was doubtful about the interior knife pocket, but having tried it for a few weeks, now think it is a great addition. Note - it is in the RH pocket by default, if you are a lefty you may want to see if the crafters can put it in the LH pocket for you instead. The pant lining is soft and was warm enough for me in low energy activities at 20F without wearing long underwear. When I tried them with long undies on, I noticed that the friction was fairly high - this wasn't a problem walking and bending, but if you are doing Telemark turns or similar, you'd probably be better off with Wintergreen's shell pants plus a heavy liner. Like Henry Ford's model T, they currently come only in black, but I'll keep an eye out for other colors, and may pick up a second pair in the future.

A thoughtfully-designed and rugged pair of pants that are a must have for winter activities - some upgraded features from the summer-use guide pants I use on the BWCA. In this new iteration, everything is as it should be, down to important details including the deep pockets with pocket knife holder, boot closures and knee flex. They are roomy without being baggy and definitely warm - no need for long underwear with these! Ideal for winter dog walking, camping and snow shoeing. These pants are very well made of robust materials. They are “bomb-proof” and will serve you well for many years.
