All of our garments have a "tailored" cut; slightly tapered to fit body shape and keep a well fitting look throughout. The amount of contour is more gradual for looser fitting items. For our Women's style, this means more room in the bust & hips and a slightly tapered waist. For our Men's style, this means more room in the shoulders and a slightly tapered waist/hips area.

Nylon Outer Shell
Breathable outer nylon shell is made from durable 3-ply Supplex® nylon with DWR to provide wind & water resistance in a lightweight, breathable outer layer. Designed to handle wind with ease!
Brimmed hood with moisture wicking mesh lining
This brimmed, multi-paneled hood is reinforced with Cordura nylon and lined with moisture wicking mesh to keep you cool and protected from the sun.
Zippered top-access cargo pouch pocket
This large cargo pouch pocket opens at the top for maximum storage potential. With zipper closure, belongings stay right where you put them!
Adjustable elastic cord at base, back pleat & underarm zipper
Functionality is key in this design. Includes elastic cord to keep bugs & wind out, back pleat for a wider range of movement and side zipper offers venting and makes the windshirt easier to take on and off.
Two zip side pockets & one chest pocket
Two zip side pockets form a pouch pocket, offering even more room for secure storage.

United StatesBoundary Waters Windshirt
Thanks Wintergreen and I have recently received my new Boundary Waters Windshirt and look forward to putting it through its paces in the coming months but can tell right off the hop, this is definitely a five-star garment! The intended use for this jacket is as a three season garment meaning late winter, spring and fall and I have a pretty good hunch it will fit the bill nicely for that. The fit is generous and layers well with a light fleece jacket or equivalent, and pairs nicely with my Karl merino cardigan also from Wintergreen. There were a few hiccups on my part concerning the right size which was completely my mistake, but size exchanges were very easy and there were no issues. I found that a mens size large was appropriate for my body type and size (5ft 8in tall, roughly 190 lbs) so be sure to trust the size chart provided by Wintergreen. I will be happy to provide a more thorough review in a couple of months once I've had a chance to try the jacket out more thoroughly. Lastly, a big thank you to the staff at Wintergreen for making such great garments as well as to Sarah who processed both my original order and size exchange cheerfully, to CC for skilfully cutting the fabric and M Braun for the attention to detail while crafting this very nice jacket!
